HAINES CITYβ€” A 17 year-old from Poinciana died in a four-vehicle crash in Haines City Thursday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP officials said the male victim was driving a sedan-type vehicle westbound on Hinson Avenue East, west of Power Line Road, while three other vehicles were headed eastbound on the same road.

For reasons currently unknown, officials said the 17-year-old’s car crossed the center line of the road and hit a 53-year-old Kissimmee man’s sedan nearly head on, leaving that driver with minor injuries.

Officials said the 17-year-old’s car then spun around and ran into a 68-year-old Lake Alfred man driving a pickup truck. The car then flipped and hit a second truck driven by a 59-year-old Poinciana man . Both the drivers of the trucks were uninjured , FHP said in a release.
