A car flipped over in a crash in Foleshill last night.

The car was pictured on its side by firefighters from Foleshill Fire Station who rushed to the scene, alongside West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Midlands Police.

The fire service said in a tweet that the crash happened last night in foggy conditions.

It is not yet known if anyone was badly injured.

It comes as motorists are warned to drive carefully in the fog and cold.

Many people in Coventry are waking up to poor visibility due to the fog this morning and there is a yellow weather warning in place which states that impaired visibility could lead to hazardous driving conditions in places.

The crash happened on Holbrooks Lane last night. The car flipped over onto its side and a metal railing was also damaged.

Residents reported a heavy police presence in the area.

A spokesman for Foleshill Fire Station wrote on Twitter: “This evening Green Watch Foleshill alongside @OFFICIALWMAS@WMPolice and @MAA_Charity attended a serious RTC on Holbrook Lane.

“Please take care on the roads during these cold and foggy conditions!”
