Emergency services have been called to a busy Cornwall road following a two-vehicle accident on the A39.

Reports came in at around 15:50 today (January 9) that two cars were involved in an accident on the A39 near West Hill in Wadebridge.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said one woman has been taken to hospital – the severity of any injuries are unclear.

Traffic is said to be coping well and emergency services are at the scene of the crash. Both vehicles have now been taken off the road and vehicle recovery is underway.

It is not yet confirmed how serious the accident is and if anyone has been left injured.

Roads and traffic monitoring website INRIX reports: “Accident, [two] cars involved on A39 near West Hill. Traffic is coping well. Emergency services on spot.”
