I-85 NB reopens in Cherokee Co. after deadly crash πŸ’₯πŸš‘πŸš“πŸš‘πŸš“πŸš‘πŸš“πŸ’₯

CHEROKEE CO., SC (WSPA) – Troopers are investigating a deadly crash Tuesday afternoon along Interstate 85 northbound in Cherokee County.

According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 4:00 p.m. at mile marker 98.

Traffic was detoured off of I-85 for several hours but had reopened by 11:00pm.

The Cherokee County Coroner said a pickup truck headed northbound on I-85 crashed into the back of a tractor trailer and was rear-ended by another tractor trailer.

The front passenger in the pickup truck, identified as 64-year-old James Arthur Fuelling of Rock Hill, died from his injuries at the scene of the crash.
