Kalamazoo woman, 27, killed in head-on crash on New Year’s Day πŸ’₯πŸš‘πŸš“πŸš‘πŸš“πŸš‘πŸš“πŸ’₯

KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI β€” A Kalamazoo woman has been identified as the person killed in a head-on crash that happened less than an hour into the new year.

Winter Amanda Petrovich, 27, Kalamazoo, was killed in a crash at 12:53 a.m. on Jan. 1, the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

She was driving north on Sprinkle Road, near East Michigan Avenue, when two cars crashed head-on.

The 22-year-old driver of the car that was headed south was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital with minor injuries. A passenger of the car, who was also 22, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, police said. The crash is under investigation.
