A crash reportedly involving several dozen vehicles amid snowy conditions closed a stretch of Interstate 94 in western Minnesota for about two hours on Saturday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported just after 2:30 p.m. that the stretch of eastbound I-94 near the Ashby / State Highway 78 exit had reopened.

An initial estimate from the Patrol was that about 50 vehicles were involved, including several semis.

The Patrol said there were no immediate reports of serious injuries or fatalities.

Light snow has been falling in the area β€” and across much of central and northern Minnesota β€” for several hours.
