Two people involved in a crash on the M6 near Coventry have escaped without any serious injuries.

They were involved in a two-vehicle collision on the M6 southbound between Junction 3 and 3A earlier this morning (January 13).

This led to a lane closure, causing four miles of tailbacks on the motorway during rush-hour.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) confirmed they were called to a two-vehicle crash at 8.12am.

“We were called to reports of a two-car RTC on the M6 between junctions 3a and 3 at 8.12am,” the WMAS spokesman said.

“One ambulance and a paramedic officer were sent to the scene. On arrival we discovered two patients, both of whom were assessed and discharged at the scene.”

Traffic tailbacks continued along the motorway stretch until around 9.30am.
